- Summary: How do I stop the shifting of the image on my 1081
- Keywords: monitor 1081 synchronising
-
- Hi all,
-
- I use my Amiga 1081 monitor as a screen for my video recorders.
- Now it all used to work prefectly, but since some time it seems
- to have trouble syncing the signal (vblanking?): The image sometimes
- shifts down about a cm, and back. This goes very fast, so it just
- looks like a flickering double image. It only does this with the
- video signal (composite). I first thought it might be that my old
- VCR had too much trouble keeping the tape going in the right speed,
- but the shifting also occurs when just using the tuner (TV), or
- another video. Using the monitor for the Amiga doesn't give any
- problem, but then again, that goes through the SCART connector, and
- is RGB (seperate sync lines).
- Yes, I tried the VCR button on the back.
- No, the VCRs don't give RGB/SCART output (just composite on SCART),
- and I prefer composite anyway, since I often use computer, and TV at
- the same moment, switching forth and back with the switch on the
- front.
-
- How can I solve this image shifting. Where do I look for this in the
- monitor. Isn't there some er... "potentiometer" (is that an
- English word? I mean a variable resistor) for syncing or something?
-
- THanx!
-
- Greetings from Amsterdam,
